Blog 88 |A Little About Me 🌿

I suddenly realized that after writing 87 blogs, I’ve never really introduced myself properly. So here it goes.

My name is Cherry, born in the 80s, from Shunde, Foshan. You could say my generation grew up alongside China’s rapid development. Here in the south, the weather is mostly one word: hot. Out of 12 months, summer takes up at least 10, and we only get one or two months of real coolness. Luckily, water is everywhere—rivers crisscross the land—so people call it a water town.

I grew up in the countryside. Compared to many girls at that time, I was lucky enough to receive more education, thanks to my parents’ foresight. Their vision gave me the chance to step into a wider world.

A Love for Country & Roots in the Bay Area

Yes, I’m a patriotic person. To me, the motherland is like our shared great mother. She may not be perfect, similar to my mother, but my love remains the same. I believe she will only grow better, stronger, and more beautiful.

I live in the Greater Bay Area(The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA)), right next to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Zhuhai. This region has become one of the world’s most dynamic economic zones, with strong roots in manufacturing. My hometown itself is famous for furniture, home appliances, and industrial machinery. None of this would have happened without the reforms of the 1990s, which gave new life to this once quiet land.

From 2005 to Today: A Journey in Trade & Machinery

After graduating in 2005 with a degree in economics and trade, I naturally went into foreign trade. Honestly, I’ve loved “selling things” since I was little—it feels like something I was born to do.

Over the years, I’ve sold lamps, worked as a buyer, and since 2013, I’ve focused entirely on the machinery industry. Twelve years have passed in a flash. I’ve become deeply passionate about it, because I truly believe machinery and automation are the backbone of global progress—today and in the future.

Why I Love What I Do

One of the parts I enjoy most is traveling for work. Meeting clients face-to-face always brings people closer. Even if no deal is signed on the spot, at least the client feels my sincerity, and I gain a deeper understanding of their real needs. That trust is the foundation of long-term business.

The Challenges Today

Right now, two challenges stand out:

  1. The AI era – Marketing and communication have completely changed. It’s no longer enough to rely on offline trade shows and visits; online branding and precise digital reach are critical.

  2. Shifts in consumer markets – Production capacity is high, but demand is not endless. We must dig deeper into our clients’ real pain points, refine our product lines, and innovate in how we deliver value.

This is exactly what I’m working on every day—making sure FILL-PACKAGE not only builds reliable food packaging machines (from belt conveyors, bucket elevators, and multihead weighers to flow wrappers and VFFS machines) but also provides customers with real solutions that last.

Final Note 🌎

This is blog number 88, a number I find quite lucky. If you’ve been following along, thank you for walking this journey with me. If you’re new, welcome!

💬 I’d love to hear from you: What’s your biggest challenge in today’s fast-changing world of food production and automation? Drop a comment or message—I’m always curious to learn more.
